This Cancun resort offers 426 guestrooms and villas. A Y-shaped 11-story tower consists of three pyramid-shaped wings; another building houses three-story villas (without elevators). Rooms feature Hilton's signature Serenity Collection Beds, including the Suite Dreams mattress.
Each room has three telephones: a cordless phone by the bed, a full-feature phone on the large desk, and a wall-mounted phone in the bathroom. 27-inch TVs offer pay movies and video games. Recreation
A 12-acre pool-and-garden complex comprises seven connected pools—some shallow for children—terraced down to the beach and two half-moon jet spas. The heated main pool features a swim-up bar and an infinity edge. One pool contains water polo, volleyball, and basketball nets. The hotel's beach frontage extends 640 meters (700 yards). Scuba-diving instruction (surcharge) is offered in the main pool by an independent operator. Independent operators also rent personal watercraft and offer parasailing on the beach.
Fronting the Hilton on the street side is an 18-hole championship golf course featuring one hole with views of Cancún Island's famed El Rey Mayan ruin. The course includes a driving range, a pro shop offering club and shoe rentals, and a resident pro for instruction. (Surcharges for all golf activities.) Two lighted tennis courts and a regulation FIFA soccer field are also available.
An independent watersports center, AquaWorld, 1.5 km (one mile) away on Nichupté Lagoon, offers kayaking, personal watercraft, sailing, and windsurfing. AquaWorld also books fishing trips and scuba diving and snorkeling excursions.
